At Affinity Counseling Center we value lives. Our mission begins with our name, affinity which means: empathy, sympathy, kinship, like-mindedness. We aim to join with our clients in a spirit of kinship, and strive to maintain an atmosphere of openness and safety to foster growth and healthy independence.
We believe that our primary role is to respect the dignity of each client, realizing that we are fellow human beings on the journey of self discovery. We work along side each individual and strive to empower, inspire, and assist our clients in recognizing and realizing the potential in each of their lives. We do so in an environment that is both supportive and educational.
We believe that successful outcomes often depend on partnering with other health care professionals and referral sources such as: physicians, hospitals, child welfare agencies, group home providers, foster care agencies, schools, courts, probation officers, jails/prisons, halfway home providers, family members, and other professionals in order to coordinate services and provide seamless continuity of care. We offer referrals for clients needing additional mental health services, such as psychological assessments and testing for ADHD and learning disabilities.
We know that strong, healthy individuals build strong, healthy families which in turn create strong, healthy communities. Our commitment to you is that we will work together in a collaborative partnership to assist in equipping and empowering each individual. Our hope is that this will enable each individual to go out into the world with the confidence and skills which will positively impact their own lives, as well as their families and communities.
